These project plans/schedules are reviewed weekly in our Weekly Project Scheduling Meeting that involve our project manager, site supervisor and experienced company leadership.

To alleviate these concerns, we’ve developed a detailed and comprehensive project estimate template that covers nearly every aspect of your property renovation.

  • At Olympus Contracting, we also use historical data from past projects to validate our estimates, ensuring they are realistic and achievable. Additionally, we always include contingency funds to cover unexpected costs that can’t be anticipated during site visits (unfortunately, we haven’t figured out how to get x-ray vision to see behind those pesky walls).

  • Still not convinced? We also track our budgets regularly throughout each project to monitor overspend and underspend, re-allocating funds as needed. This helps us maintain tight control over costs by continuously discussing the budget and identifying cost-saving measures to keep the project on track.

    We ensure that all work areas are cleaned and debris is removed at the end of each day. We always employ a great construction cleaning company and cover our work areas with protective mats/paper.
  • What should I do to prepare for a renovation?
    Preparing for a renovation is all about planning and setting clear targets. Start by defining your budget range, project timeline, and the scope of work you want to be completed. It’s helpful to have some initial targets in mind before talking with your contractor to ensure your expectations are realistic given the latest costs of materials, equipment, and labor. One of the best ways to align your budget, scope, and timeline is to have blueprints or drawings created for your project. Olympus Contracting is here to help when it comes to having plans drawn up for your upcoming project. Creating drawings/building plans helps communicate all the details clearly and ensures your project price is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Do I need to be home during the renovation?
    It is not necessary for you to be home at all times during the renovation. However, we may require access to your home and encourage you to check out the project frequently to ensure things are turning out as you envisioned
